This short film is from 17 years ago, but it’s still one of my favorite shorts. It’s about the stages we can go through with internal motivation and achievement — how the fire inside can die, and anger or resentment can sometimes force us forward. But what if our drive to succeed ends up pushing us to become what we had once hated and resented? What if our success betrays the child-like need for joy that we once felt inside? It’s about six minutes. I also find the music haunting. There’s no dialogue.
