This short film is one of the most amazing and meaningful pieces of art I have ever come across. It grasped my emotions so deeply, it literally made me cry. Dont read further until you actually fully watch the video because most people try to understand the short film and I want to try and explain it but without ruining it for you so please dont read my meaning of the film until after watching it. ----------- So now that youve watched it, Im going to try and explain what was happening in the film, or at least from what Ive gathered from what others believe the film was about. So you first see a boy whos obviously thirsty and really wanting a drink so he constantly searches for water, most people think that he symbolizes a person who really is in need of something and constantly trying to grasp it. Then you see a girl who looks relatively happy holding a basket with red ripe apples. Most believe that she symbolizes kindness as she tries to give her apples to others, in a society that looks chaotic, cruel, and full of zombies, and they reject her kindness, thus spreading their hatred unto the apples and they begin to rot. Perhaps the rot has effected her emotionally and fills her with sorrow and she begins to cry tears of sorrow. The tears reach the boy and he comes to her and drinks away her sorrow until its gone. She then begins to cry real tears of happiness, and you also see the boy happy as he has finally quenched his thirst. They then part ways as happy people. So from all of this, I have gathered that perhaps the moral of the story is that dont take someone for granted and also be kind and caring to others no matter how hard it is, and when you see someone really in need of something, try to give it to them because it could be a good thing for the both of you in the end. https://youtube/watch?v=_VK2il0LnOY
