This should be my last night here. I feel so much better. I think these new meds are finally starting to work. Update on dad: just talked to Kevin and dad is resting well. Surgery scheduled for 6 am to remove his voice box and the tumor surrounding it. They said he will be cut from ear to ear around his neck. They will then implant a mechanical voice box and cover it with a muscle they have to remove from his arm. This surgery is scheduled to last roughly about 7 to 8 hours if they dont run into any complications. He will have a NG tube for about 10 days to give it time enough to heal for him to begin eating soft foods again. Chemo will begin sometime after that. I am asking everyone to say a prayer tonight for him and all those in my family that are sick. I will try to update as I can. Thanks in advance.
