This song brings back so many memories of my Daddy, he played this song on truck stop jukeboxes all over the country. A retired truck driver friend, Sam Boles, posted this and thanks to him, Im sitting on the side of the road bawling my eyes out. A state trooper pulls in behind me, blue lights flashing. He walks up to my door and Ive got tears still rolling down my cheeks. He asks if Im alright. In a choked voice I tell him I will be in a few minutes. He asks is there anything he can do to help and am I sure Im ok. I told him I heard a song that reminded me of my Dad and I kinda lost it for a bit. He tells me that I cant park here and hell be back around in about 30minutes and I best be gone or hell write me a ticket. I assure him that Ill get it together and be gone very shortly. As he turns to walk away he says Merry Christmas! I squeak out Merry Christmas to you officer and tears start flowing all over again. Havent lost it this bad in a long time, that hole in my heart seems to expand this time of year. Whew, gotta get outta here before that Arkansas state trooper gets back!
