This song has been on replay for me for a long time Mbiri Urimbo-Oliver Mtukudzi This song is just one of those song that I think Tuku wrote directly inspired by his own life. Tuku directly laments the things that fame draws with it. He seems to suggest he would have loved a gift/talent that would have allowed him a quieter life shielded from public scrutiny, unfair criticism and undue attention. In this line, Dai ndaiziva zizi, kuziva zizi richiri nhiyo. Ndaigara ndati kwete bodo. Kurirera kune museredzero. Tuku makes it clear that if he had known what fame draws before being famous he would have chosen to stay obscure and to live a quieter life. I have been processing and reflecting on this song and it certainly teaches a young man like me a lot. Please listen to it and see what I mean.
