This song is actually really sweet. like he’s saying how much he misses the benefits of his innocence from his youth; he misses when things were sweet and simple. he’s saying that he thinks this is an epidemic- this sad decay of us, or fall from how delicate we used to be. but it’s a like a tragic loop, because he looks back at it, and does not chase it. he is, in essence, saying ‘that happened to us, but here we are now, there’s no going back’. desperately nostalgic, he reaches back to the ‘ones who taught us all this’. i think we can all relate -littleheartlings.tumblr m.youtube/watch?v=TErySTMbFlk
