This song is dedicated to the amazing human beings who worked for decades at the ESA - European Space Agency to make the #Rosetta mission and the landing on a comet a reality. Decades of planning and then a 10 year wait while the craft chased after comet 67P. I salute those people who spent their lives designing ways to move humanity beyond our fragile rock. This day is historic, but it is one of many more to come. Some people will know nothing of the comet landing earlier, and some people, like me, will have been following it from the day it was launched. Thats cool. For some people astronomy doesnt seem all that intereting. And I agree to a certain extent. You cant have immediate results with space exploration. You gotta design the craft, send it out there, decades before anything actually happens. But look ahead, friends - Look 50-100 years in the future. A landing on a comet will be commonplace by then. Therell be Mars expresses taking us from Earth straight to Mars. Very selective though. I dont expect that to be a mainstream thing. Oh If only we knew and could appreciate the amazing adventures ahead of us, I think it would humble us and make us a much better species. There is magic in the universe, you just have to allow yourself to experience it.
