This song is in memoriam to all those that sacrificed their lives, - TopicsExpress

This song is in memoriam to all those that sacrificed their lives, their hopes, and dreams so that all of us that live today, may know what freedom is. As a combat war veteran this night before Memorial Day is sacred to me ever since my time I served in Iraq and also learning the knowledge of my family history. I have learned that I am a direct descent of a person that has fought in every war this country has had to fight since its conception and even before. Especially my 4 great grandfather 1st LT Cyrus Walter Peck who was a member of the 6th Wisconsin Volunteer Infantry the Iron Brigade. He served since the start of the Civil War as a private and fought in Antitum and Gettysburg. The Iron Brigade suffered more casualties more than any other company in the Civil War. And for him to rise in rank from a mere private to a 1st LT is astounding. I am honored that his man is my great grandfather. I would like everyone I know to take a minute tomorrow and take a moment of silence at 1201 pm for all those that gave up everything that they could have been for all of us to live how we do today. Just remember that if not for our countrys Greatest Generation, that Hitler could have won the war and God knows the suffering and pain that could have come to this world because of this mans hatred. Thank you to all the Einherjar that died in battle to make sure the unborn generations would be able to live in peace and free. Maybe one day I will be able to have the honor to join you in the halls of Valhalla. Thank you to all those I fought with that were able to bring me home safe that I could live in joy and peace with my wife Lorena Davis and have 2 beautiful children, Spencer and Evelyn.
