This song says everything I have been feeling lately. I was thinking about my old Fender guitar. It has been with me from my youthful innocence and even on the Grand Ole Opry stage in Nashville in 1997. It has been with me around mountain campfires as I entertained some great friends, who I will never see again in this life. It has been with me as I have laughed and as I cried. After my first heartbreak I wrote a special song on it. As I walk along at 34 years old in this life there are still lonely nights where I pick it up and again I pour out my heart playing it. Most important is the fact that it was given to me by my parents who love me and have always encouraged my music.
