This statement from Bill O Reilly really exasperates me, on so many levels! “The republicans have a lot to lose here. If it doesn’t compromise many Hispanic voters will reject the GOP entirely, pretty much dooming the party in the future, that’s reality”! First, it’s a “presupposed” Political reality: that disregards the ethical, moral, and principled representation our elected officials are expected to possess and engage in! This immigration issue and the Reform Bill is entirely political in nature as you said, but for you to advocate that Republican Politicians compromise, and forget about what their constituency wants, just to appease a certain segment of the population, for political gain, further corrupts our Constitutional Republic and this Government. I want the representation our Declaration of Independence and Constitution explained and established. Immigration needs to be addressed, but not as a Political issue, it’s a National Sovereignty, Security, and Economic issue that deserves honest bi-partisan debate, only after our Borders are secured. Enforce the Laws we have and focus on the immigration problems that exist, absent political motivation. This Bill is getting to complex, hasn’t been drafted or read in its’ final form, and it’s being pushed for passage. That’s the way Obamacare was approved, and look at what that has done.
