This story confirms my opinion that most Christians today (those that attend church at least once a week and say that they are saved) better fit the definition of a Pharisee then a disciple. We tend to spend more time on focusing on how we appear to others than on our relationship with our Creator, Savior, and Sovereign. My church, Westminster Foursquare Church, is one of several that are actively breaking out of the practices that are all to common in the churches in America today and not only welcome homeless with open arms and hearts but seeking on creating an environment that those that our community sees as "dregs of society", of which I was one, that the disenfranchised feel at home at. I applaud Pastor Arron Bull for encouraging believers to be authentic and practice Consistent Christian Living Through Discipleship. May this cause you to read Luke 10:25-37 and ask yourself are you the important priest, the devoted Levite, or the rejected Samaritan. Christ knows the true heart of you and me.May we all become more like Christ every day in every way and cease being so busy that we no longer care about everyone outside of our comfort zone.
