This story has quoted me entirely inaccurately. Theres barely a sentence in the bit attributed to me that is factually accurate or faithful to the spirit of what I actually said. And I never said The Government wont so I will, instead I had specifically critiqued this understanding of citizens activism as substitute for Government accountability. Moreover, I did not become an activist of AISA in Mumbai, but later in JNU. Since the reporter actually recorded our interview, I am stumped as to how she could get simple facts, as well as my views, wrong, and even attribute words to me that I never uttered.
