This stupid cold & rainy weather is MORE than uncomfortable & annoying for me, its EXPENSIVE! 1) The obvious: Heat! It costs more to run the heat than the A/C. Now, Ill pump the cooling temps up in the house to the recommended energy saving BUT I refuse to freeze, so Im definitely NOT energy conscious when its cold! Now for the less obvious. 2) We have solar hot water. Moderately cloudy days arent a problem because UV rays still make it through the cloud cover. Multiple cloudy days WITH constant, however, cool the solar collectors. SO, the hot water heater has now switched over electric & is costing me money! BOO! 3) We line dry most laundry here. I can dry clothes in the cold, but NOT in the rain. Dryer time=money! And I HAVE to do some laundry today! Another BOO!
