This subject has been eating at me for a long time. It is easy to be deceived into believing, if this is in fact an illusion, that the world is indeed waking up. You tend to gravitate towards like-minded individuals, and shut the rest of the sleepers out. A sort of awakened coalition forms, and, being among those you are primarily in contact with, you develop a sense that, as your circle grows, this must mean consciousness is expanding. People like us tend to avoid watching television, or ingesting other forms of establishment mass media, but if you do, from time to time, as I do (just to make sure a nuke didnt get set off or some other world-shattering event that might force me to alter my life in some way), you may have noticed that, according to the establishment paradigm, things are worse than ever. We are under greater threats, have more reasons to be afraid, terrified, than ever. Which idea is correct? Its hard to say. Which is why I tend not to concern myself too much with the awakening of the rest of the world. As the Tao Te Ching says, Watch the turmoil of beings, and contemplate their return. So I do, while living my life in such a way that I would like to see the rest of the world live. Be the change you wish to see, and all that. Namaste.
