This summer Dolly was found under a tree in a field 5 miles outside of Seguin when a women went to check on her cattle. At the time Dolly was 30lb thinner than her still currently underweight self. It was thought she had been out in the field for 2-4 weeks, with 2 badly mangled legs. She appeared dead, and most certainly was near death. She was taken to animal control who was going to perform a routine euthanasia...until Miss Dolly lifted her head and looked into his eyes. Thankfully a decision was made to help this lady. After her right front leg was amputated and her right back leg was filled with pins and plates and wore a cast for several weeks, this sweet thing came home with me today. Shes able to walk and run and is very very wonderful. The Last Samurai now has a girlfriend...I think. He was a bit rebuffed with a few snarls for some overly zealous crotch sniffing...
