This theory of the village dying is a Self-Fulfilling Prophecy and Im tired of it. Thinking it is one thing, stopping going to the village because people tell you that is a different thing altogether. I, and many others who work in the village have noticed a decline in patronage this year but I have noticed it especially since Fly announced they were closing. So this makes sense once someone tells you a scene or neighbourhood is dying that you stop going and make sure it literally happens? Regardless of whether you think a village is necessary (I think it is by the way) does it really make sense to just desert the place? I work all over the city and every scene has their own charm, and theyre all necessary. I vote for keeping as many friendly spaces open as possible.
