This thingy right here is Chippy. First and foremost, Id like to credit Beka Hostler at The Animal Clinic for the awesome hairstyle. Ol Chippy was looking a little rough. Chippy is a Yorkshire terrier mix who is a mighty dog underneath the miniscule exterior. He is super friendly and is very much so leash/harness trained. He gets along well with other dogs AND cats. He likes running with you and will try to stay within your stride...but be careful, his tiny frame cant keep up with faster runners. He would be best suited for extended neighborhood walks and lumbering jogs. We only travelled a short 1.5 miles today since I was fairly sore, and smaller dogs dont run well in the heat I had to endure today. So today was more of an adventure and foraging exercise. This little buddy was all in! I had to carry him for a bit, but he walked most of the way. Oh, and hes not a fan of water or jettys. Other than that, theres not much more to say. Chippy came to me when I beckoned for him, he LOVES food, and he would also love a big comfy couch to chillax on if youve got one. PS...hes a bit of a marker. So have a noisemaker or spray bottle handy if he tries to do it in house. He tried to mark everything outdoors, but not so much inside at the shelter. Its just a little something to monitor.
