This time 8 years ago my dad passed away. Hes now in heaven with the Lord and enjoying hie eternity. I was thinking about him while driving and praying on my way to work. He, like all of us parents wasnt perfect but you never doubted the love he had for you. He always went out of his way to show us how much he cared about all of his children. He had an incredible gift of gab and quick wit, the type of guy that people always liked to be around anticipating a good laugh. He taught me to work real hard, never quit, dont take crap off of no one and to be kind to your fellow man. My dad was admired by lots people, both family and friends. He was known as a humble guy who never met a stranger. I still miss his jokes, his laugh, smile and hearing his straight forward talk about life in general. He was a very popular uncle amongst lots of nieces and nephews, Uncle Delbert was an uncle they all liked to be around. He was also a grandpa who loved my children very much and my niece also. Thank you daddy for always working so very hard to provide for your family, you were a mans man who did whatever it took to put food on the table. I know I can speak for myself all my brothers and sisters of how much we all loved him and miss him. Thank you Lord for taking my dad home with you, I know in this moment hes experiencing unspeakable joy in Heaven. I love you daddy, I know we will all see you again one day.
