This time last year I was having some intense contractions, and couldnt sleep at all. My mom and Jacob were staying the night with me because I was scheduled to be induced around 7am the next morning. At 3am my water broke and they gave me my epidural, I was dilated to a 4. After my epidural I got sick 6 times and finally crashed. Several times between 3-6 I faintly remember nurses and doctors checking on me, but I was completely conscious. It was like I was on some medicine that made me extremely loopy. Turns out I had an awful reaction to my epidural. It only happens to one in a million. My nurse had laid me back flat after my spinal and it ran up my spine numbing me from the neck down. My heart rate and blood pressure shot up, and Andersons heart rate dropped from the 140s to the 90s. At 6:23 they rushed me into an emergency C-section. They through a bag of scrubs at Jacob who was dead asleep. I was having awful anxiety because I couldnt move my arms legs, nothing. I couldnt feel myself breathing. Jacob got into the room dressed in scrubs and I kept telling him I couldnt breathe. The doctors began the surgery and proceeded to sedate me, the last thing I heard was my baby boys first cry and then I was out. He was born at 6:51 weighing 6lbs 13ounces and 20 long! I woke up 3hrs later with a breathing tube an in bad pain. They finally took me up stairs and I got to see and hold my precious gift from god. And till this day he is the best thing thats ever happened to me! I love you Anderson Jacob Folsom! Happy 1st Birthday baby boy!
