This time of year makes me sad. All of the commercials and YouTube videos about how people cant wait to get rid of their kids when school starts. I get it, its supposed to be funny - I do have a sense of humor! However, I do know that not all parents who send their kids to school feel this way. Have you seen the one with the moms at Target by themselves? Again, I totally get it, but it seems so shallow to me. What kind of message are we sending to our children? And then there are all kinds of Teacher funnies about dreading the first day of school too. No one wants them at home and no one wants them at school. That wouldnt make me feel very good. The time we have with our children is SO SHORT! I mean next year I have a high schooler! Im thankful for my crazy kids and thankful for the opportunity to be with them on a daily basis. Its an honor to be entrusted with them for a little while, and hopefully guide them, and PRAY for them on their journey through life.
