The article that you first commented on” The original Statue of Liberty was a black woman” is talking about The Statue of Liberty and the French sending it here as a token to represent the end of slavery. But you choose to look at it as a color thing and body parts. Why are you so fixed on skin color and body parts. Get over it! is what you said about the article. “My reaction was more directed at the way the article was written. The writers made it out to be that we as Americans should be shocked/offended at the fact one of the symbols our nation was founded upon was actual the exact opposite of what we thought it was supposed to be! So, I said Who cares meaning it doesnt make me feel any differently about our country or what we stand for. We are all equal, so the color of our skin should make no difference”. And I am telling you in the article we are talking about the social equality in the U.S. and the fact is we are all not equal in the U.S. Get over the physical thing buddy. Stop equating this political article about the original Statue of Liberty being a black woman with skin color and body parts.
