This type of post is not usually issued by our school but we feel a need to make people aware of the situation. Is anyone out there aware of the Proposed Cuts to Education? Department of Education are consulting regarding SEVERE proposed cuts to Education for 2015/16. This, if it is ALLOWED to go ahead will mean staff reductions (teaching and non teaching), class size increases, fewer resources etc in not only our school but ALL schools in general both Primary and Post Primary. Please help us have our views heard. Our children deserve the best that we and the Department of Education can give. Petitions have gone out from our school today. If you are a parent or community friend of our school or any other school in the locality please sign our petition or the petition of another school to help show our total disagreement with these proposed cuts. The closing date for our written petitions is this THURSDAY 18th DECEMBER. If you can get your petition form filled please submit it to either school office on either of our two sites.
