This version is so amazing in my opinion! With so many newer, repetitive songs in the church today, I think we need to be reminded of classic songs like this. I used to think it was a childrens song when I hit my teenage years. When I heard it from the Gaithers , I realized...I am still a child of God! Yes I am his daughter, just as much as my loving, caring, sweet, father on earth was! To those that never knew that in a father I am truly and deeply sad for that. I could not imagine not having a father that was not there--mine was. You have GOD--he is our heavenly father--no matter what our earthly situation is...I only can pray that most will soon realize his Salvation by sending his son Jesus to die on the cross for our sins and rose again that we may have the choice of eternal life. My father passed away in 2004! I was sad, but now I await to see the day I will join him and OUR heavenly Father in a joyous family reunion someday! Jesus Loves me--and YOU! :)
