This video/audio clip is from yesterdays debate on WCAI 94.3FM. In the clip, MIndy Todd (i.e., host of The Point and moderator of the debate) asks where we stand on the issue of increasing the number of charter schools on Cape Cod. I do not believe that there is a need for additional charter schools on Cape Cod, and I am opposed to raising the charter school cap (with the exception of those areas in the state where traditional public schools are chronically failing). By contrast, my Republican challenger, Adam Chaprales, favors increasing the number of charter schools on Cape Cod on the grounds that a little competition is healthy and believes that expanding charter schools is an effective means of holding local school boards accountable.
