This video is educational. It is both sides of the story. Parts of the anti-wolf side of the story has been dispelled as Myth and fear mongering. The part with the sheep rancher is real. Here in lies the problem. Yellowstone is flourishing. The eco system is thriving with new growth Birch , aspen and popular. Beavers are back, dozens of different migratory birds have come back to stop and rest or even stay because of all the back water ponds and wetlands that are there because the beaver came back. Why did this happen ? Before wolves were introduced back to Yellowstone , the Elk and the deer population were out of control. Overgrazing in the valleys feeding on prairie grasses and young tree saplings along streams and rivers. Flooding was a common problem with the snow melt and they get a lot of snow. Well when the wolf started to thrive the deer and elk population started to decline. Trees started growing along the banks which cut down on the erosion. Beavers came back to feed on and use the trees to build dams which caused large areas of wetlands and ponds which attracts large numbers of migratory birds. I could go on for an hour about the things I learned about how wolves saved Yellowstone. All I can say is since the wolves came back these animals of the wild are either thriving or have came back, Grizzly Bears, Black Bears, Pine Martens, Weasels, Migratory Birds , Foxes and the Beaver. My opinion of why there is a problem in Idaho is if you stop and think about it. There are no problems in Yellowstone because there is no man, no ranches, nothing to do with the Human race. Conflicts with wolves and tourist in Yellowstone does not happen. Conflicts with man in Idaho happens , the reason , man has moved right next door to the wolves domain and has brought with him LIVESTOCK. Wolves are only doing what wolves do, SURVIVE. One solution to the problem with conflicts between Man and Wolves is. Move the wolves to the Franck Church/ River of no Return Wilderness Area [ the largest such Wilderness and the most remote ] in the continental U. S. And tell man to stay the Hell out. No development at all , no grazing sheep or cattle on public lands as they do now. Watch this video with an open mind and do research. The more you know about the conflicts between wolf and man, the stronger your voice will become.
