This video might be long, but it is worth watching. It should put in perspective what bullying can do. However, this short film is especially powerful due to the fact that it switches the roles we see today. Bullying is never Ok to begin with, but to be bullied based upon someone else loving differently than you is just appalling. LGBT teens are 4 times more likely to kill themselves and questioning teens are 3 times more likely to do so than their straight peers. Suicide attempts by LGBT and questioning youth are 4 to 6 times more likely to result in injury, poisoning, or overdose that requires treatment from doctors and nurses compared to straight peers. Almost half of young transgender people have thought about suicide while one quarter have attempted suicide. LGBT youth who have high rejecting families are 8.4 times more likely to attempt suicide than LGBT who come from no or low levels of rejection.
