This video shows an incident on 01/07/15, just after midnight. A resident and member of our Neighborhood Video Crime Watch called 911 to report a suspicious person in their driveway. A motion sensor first alerted the resident to the activity and then he viewed his surveillance camera to watch the suspect. The motion activated flood light on the driveway caused the suspect to hesitate and retreat to the alley before returning to the driveway a second time. The resident started to open the overhead garage door which caused the suspect to run away. Officers were able to view the video and locate the man walking in the area within minutes. This is a good example of how multiple layers of security can prevent crime.
