This was Nathan’s part in the musical play Wizard of Oz taken during the Technical Dress Rehearsal at Star Theater, CCP Complex, Manila. He was the guardian of the gates in the wizard’s palace. I vividly remember, while Nathan and I were watching Sound of Music play in Resorts World (he was 6 y/o then), while Ariel Rivera as Captain Georg von Trapp was singing, he whispered these words, “Mom, I think I belong to the stage.”…. without me realizing that he was indeed serious when he said that… he joined theatre and choir auditions in school, got accepted and currently a member until now. .. He also auditioned for a scholarship with KIDS ACTS PHILIPPINES last July (the producer of Wizard of Oz) and now a proud member of TheCampArt Kid Actor Scholars. Hes always looking forward to rehearsals in KAPI every weekend, he found new set of friends who share the same passion and discipline… He enjoyed the short limelight of his solo performance on stage in Wizard of Oz... Friends say he’s a natural… As parents; we always want the best for our children… and we are glad he’s slowly realizing his dream.. Thank you very much Directors Luigi Obsequio Nacario and Eugene Belbis for believing and trusting Nathans capability :-)
