This was a DUI checkpoint and that was never discussed. My take is that the officers ego was offended by the non lowering of the window. Yes, we need to get drunk drivers off the road but when the law says that our civil rights dont matter that is a major violation and a step towards police state mentality. It comes out of the Patriot Act, interesting name for it by the way. There are many many fine officers who do there job and do it well! They risk their lives. I respect them. This kind of harassment is unacceptable and what frightens me even more what if this young man would have been black!
