This was a recent exert i read while scrolling along. Now to me this sends a pretty strong message. Ill leave it up to the people to decide what they want to believe Campbell Newman is all over the news: his new laws on bikies, and his attacks on judges and his overheated rhetoric about anybody who opposes his agenda. We’re also seeing that the judiciary is calling out Campbell Newman’s attacks on our courts; attacks based more on the political expediency of being seen to be tough on crime rather than on community safety. Corruption buster, Tony Fitzgerald, author of the Fitzgerald Inquiry, which shone the light on the corruption of Queensland in the ‘70s and ‘80s made a statement recently regarding the current attacks on anybody who speaks up by the Premiers against him or his supporters. “…. those who want to live in a free society are hopefully now better able to decide whether theyre again prepared to tolerate politicians who are contemptuous of democratic constraints,” Tony Fitzgerald – Friday, 1st November, 2013, statement - This is the choice we all face today as Campbell Newman’s rhetoric undermines criminal proceedings.
