BCBS has decided to continue with their push towards pre-authorization of physical therapy services with the goal to limit care to everyone who needs it. According to BCBS, therapy will not be authorized for treatment beyond getting people back to their basic activities of daily living. What this means is that if you need to do anything pertaining to your job that is beyond the level of something basic at work, they will not pay for your rehab. If you have a child that wants to be able to run or play a sport again, they will not pay for the rehab. If you do not progress as fast as they think you should, they will not pay for your rehab. Isnt this what we pay our insurance for??? Please continue to pass this petition on to your friends. The first batch of 1955 signatures has been sent, but we need many more.
