This was an amendment to strip indefinite detention out of the NDAA. Because it failed, the US government may -- unconstitutionally -- detain anyone, for any reason, without charging them with a crime, for an indefinite amount of time, without due process, without an attorney, without any rights guaranteed in our constitution. With a government that spies on its citizens, why did you elect officials that handed over basic civil liberties to a body that continually abuses their power?
