This was an awesome experience on an overnight cattle drive. It took 5 hrs to get there. We went up and up on this mt. Then when we got to the open field where the cows were and it started to thunder and lighting and hailing. We had to get off the horses and go to the edge of the pine trees and wait it out. They said if it gets too bad with the lightening we would have to let the horses go. I asked do they come back -- ?? He said. After 45 mins we got back on and finished in the rain and still lightening off in the distance. Then we went thru thick forest until we reached cow camp. For a steak dinner. Got up and had a great breakfast and went down the mt. My horse Pawny would bite the horses rears In front of him. He liked to be in front. So the wrangler said take the lead !!!!! And he said his back hurt. He needed to get on him to see if he would buck. They gave hom some medicine and said he should be fine It was scary coming up. So going down you just leaned back. We had to give the horse his head so he could see where he was stepping. The terrain was steep and Rocky with drop offs on one side and mt on the other. It was such an adventure.
