They were always quick with _demanding_ respect but showed none of this towards the students, after all the students had little education and depended on welfare, so they felt entitled to look down to them >:-( And when _I_ showed respect to these street youngsters, employers and colleagues viewed this as if it were “collaboration with the enemy”.
