This week, Adm. Harry Harris accepted the Asian Pacific American Institute for Congressional Studies (APAICS) Lifetime Achievement Award in Washington, and received an Ellis Island Medal of Honor Award from the NECO - National Ethnic Coalition of Organizations in New York. It is especially meaningful that the awards come in the month of May, where America recognizes the service and dedication of men and women of Asian-American and Pacific Islander heritage.
