This week I got to participate in an event to honor the military. We rode motorcycles to Vernal, Ut and accepted the flag and then took it to Grand Junction, Co. I rode in honor of Edward Harris, USMC LCpl Michael J. Allred,, Charles Sare. Rode with 5 other men. WHAT IS THE PATRIOT TOUR? Every year The Nation of Patriots organizes a national effort that pays tribute to, and honors, all of Americas Armed Forces - Past, Present, and Fallen. This united effort is known as The Patriot Tour. Every year we ride for the members of our military - to show Americas support, our thanks, and our united pride by passing one American Flag throughout the country. The Patriot Tour begins during Memorial Day weekend. A massive group of riders escorts one American Flag on the back of a motorcycle to Woodstock Harley-Davidson in IL. Upon arrival, the flag is transferred to the IL escort. The very next day the Flag is taken to IN and the next it travels to MI...and on and on for 100 days, through 48 states. The Flag finally makes it full circle and lands right back in WI where it all started over Labor Day weekend. It’s the very foundation of the American Flag and all it represents that our brave men and women in the military have stood and died defending, continue to stand and protect, and will forever fight for.
