This week has been somewhat of a blur for me. After planning to be spending our first anniversary with my honey at the Pennsylvania Draft Horse Sale, my Mona spent all last weekend throwing up everything she ate; or so I thought. Sooooooooo Monday night after taking an x-ray to determine if there was something blocking her and discovering there was, we underwent emergency exploratory surgery to fish it out. What we found were pieces of her blanket that she had in her kennel. She shredded it in hopes that eating it would make her tummy feel better. Guess not because what she got were 26 staples, a hole in her stomach and an 8 incision in her body wall. She is on the road to recovery so far. Resting as much as Mona can rest and definitely not sleeping with ANY blankets. As for me I didnt make it to the sale but was glad to have two days off to care for my girl. Isnt it funny how things work out??
