This week has been very hard for me and my family. In my previous status i about that we may be planning a funeral. Thats not because of Haley. My daughter Haley is doing amazingly well, she will be 8 months in just 21 days. The post before is about my little brother Tyler Timothy Nicholls. On Saturday, we noticed that he was very sleepy, and pale. We just thought he was coming down with a cold. The next day (Sunday) he was worse, had a fever, was irritable, sleepy, breathing fast, bruises all over his body and throwing his bottle back up. Me and my mum rushed him to hospital. They checked him over and wanted to do some blood tests. After waiting hours for the results, they came in saying that they wanted to do a Lumber Puncture to rule out meningitis and septicemia. Soon as his spinal fluid came out, they noticed that he had Meningitis. They then rushed him down to CT to get a scan on his spine and brain. He was positive for Meningitis. They rushed him to PICU and hes been there since. Today he was much worse. My little brother passed away due to horrible Meningitis. Fly High Tyler Timothy Nicholls. July 4th 2013 - November 29th 2013. Remember to look out for the symptoms. This could save someones life. Symptoms: Tense Of Bulging Soft Spot on the head. Fever. Breathing Fast. Extreme Shivering. Rashes, Marks or bruises on the skin. Very Sleepy/Not Wanting To Wake Up. Vomiting/Refusing To Feed. Pale/Blue Skin. Stiff Body/Jerky Movements/Floppy/Lifeless. Pain/Irritable. Joint/Limb Pain. Cold Hands and Feet.
