This week is Carers Week. To celebrate, I was pleased to visit NADO in St Marys and thank all of the wonderful staff and volunteers who play such an important role in our local community. NADO do such a wonderful job in our community and it was great to see their team celebrating today. Providing care to a loved one in need – whether it be due to age, disability or mental illness – is a role that many Australians will take on at some stage during their lives Almost 2.7 million Australians fulfil a caring role, and I thank everyone who makes such a selfless contribution in our region.
