This week is a time here in America we take special care to focus on things we are thankful for. Elijah has taught us so much we didnt know about thankfulness. For about a month now we have been reeling with the reality of Batten in its later stages. Elijah has been beating the odds, every day. He is interacting more than ever and the most amazing thing has been happening, he nods and shakes his head in agreement or disagreement. We have not had that clear of communication from our boy in a very long time. We are extremely thankful for this blessing. When he smiles and laughs and with his nods and shakes can let us know how very much he is living! He reminds us of how thankful for life he is for God, family, friends, puppies, hugs, kisses, gifts, celebrations, smiles, breath, and the joy in being alive no matter his circumstances. We are thankful for Elijah and the things he teaches us each and every day. We have learned that time is the most invaluable asset each of us has. Use it wisely, use it to bring blessings to others, use it to love and be loved, be thankful for each second we are given, Elijah has taught us joy is always and option. We are thankful to each of you, he enjoys us reading him your words and hearing us talk about the blessings brought to our lives through him. Life and the God who gives it we thank you for letting us know this joyful little boy, to be a part of his life and to learn from and through him. We are truly blessed to know such peace.
