This week marked the end the last regular school week in my forty years in education. I must say, despite the daily challenges in attempting to educate, listen to, motivate, cajole, inspire, discipline, and befriend the thousands of students I’ve had the privilege to teach, coach and lead over these four decades, it has truly been a rewarding career. However, forty years is enough. For those who know me well, it will come as no surprise that I will officially start a new job, the day after graduation. I recently became a realtor and I will be working for Coldwell-Banker Elite (AKA: Penny Ostlund). I am excited about this new adventure and to join the “Ostlund Team” and work alongside my wife (OK…I know I’ll be her lackey). We plan to serve anyone in need of real estate services in the Northern Virginia to Fredericksburg areas.
