This week on Seldom Heard Music - a tribute to Jimmy Martin, Mister Good and Country, on the occasion of the date of his birth- August 10, 1927. Well hear from former Sunny Mountain boys like Audie Blaylock, Doyle Lawson, Kenny Ingram, J.d. Crowe, Paul Williams and others; as well as The King of Bluegrass himself with the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band and with Dr. Ralph Stanley. Also featured this week - Tim Stafford, Steve Gulley (both in new albums - and both good) and we note the 153rd anniversary of the Battle Of Wilsons Creek with some songs from God Didnt Choose Sides (produced by Steve Gulley with songs composed by Paula Breedlove, Brad Davis and Brink Brinkman as well as Steve and Tim) and American Drive. Oh yeah, Rhonda Vincent, Larry Sparks, and The Gibson Brothers (Eric and Leigh) too. thats too much good bluegrass music to pass up!
