This week pupils at MIHSG have been learning about Islam, Christianity, Judaism, Hinduism and Sikhism. Pupils attended various places of worship throughout the week including a Catholic Church, Hindu Temple, Sikh Gurdwara and Year 10 pupils visited Al Rahma Masjid in Liverpool which was built by a revert, Abdullah Quilliam and was the first ever masjid to be built in Britain. Year 10 pupils then visited the Southern Manchester Cemetery, a truly soul enriching experience for many of the pupils. We pray that inshaAllah by visting the different places of worship pupils will have a greater awareness of the world around them. An Interfaith lunch followed by a Q&A session with prominent religious leaders from Manchester was then held with Yr 10 and Yr 11 pupils.
