This week several Deputies attended an Emergency Vehicle - TopicsExpress

This week several Deputies attended an Emergency Vehicle Operations Course (EVOC.) The Course is six hours long with two-hours focused on classroom and four-hours behind the wheel of the squad. The classroom course explains the human factor of responding to emergencies, engaging in pursuits, monitoring and evaluating pursuits. The Deputy takes their squad on an EVOC course to practice the serpentine forward and reverse, evasive maneuvers, and cornering. Our Deputies put on over 750,000 miles each year, driving squads in some of the worst weather and traffic situations. This training which is done every two years helps keeps our deputies safe when responding to emergency situations in Door County. We’ve attached three videos of this training for you to watch.
