This week the situation of my family suddenly became very difficult. Caritas (my wife)has not been well from the time of the bombings here in Arusha, but her situation especially her heart condition started to weaken more in the last two weeks. She was attended by a clinic and seems to have improved. But then, since Monday (24th June) she started to have severe indigestion, which unfortunately lead her to start vomiting the next day. This developed into a terrible situation on the night of 25/26, she started to see blood in the vomitus. In early morning (4.00 am) she suddenly vomited huge a amount of blood and I had to immediately rash her to hospital where she was hospitalized. She lost more blood at the hospital, but thanks to God, because she was now given continues blood transfusion the situation was being controlled. Yesterday, an endoscopy was done in my presence, thanks to God to our surprise no ulcer was seen in the stomach or duodenum. She had a small tear of the Mallory weis near the sphincter leading from the esophagus to the stomach, which has stopped bleeding. This evening Caritas was discharged, though still very weak. We are all surprised that a small laceration could lead to such amount of blood, but much more astounded by the power of God to protect His own.
