This week was a bit crazy because Mama got sick...bronchitis...of the quarantining myself for days variety. And it was awful! What was not awful was how amazing my husband and Mimi were to step in and seamlessly fill in the void. I dont say enough how amazing Kalebs Da is, but he is the best father EVER! It does my heart good to know that no matter where I am, Kaleb is in the best hands. We didnt have any major appointments this week, but Kalebs feeding therapy went so well! Weve transitioned him back to tasting purees, and hes working hard on textures. Out of nowhere this week he decided to start taking an ounce each time. Thats HUGE for him and Im so proud! This week we have 2 big appointments: Cardiology and Ortho. Tomorrow is Cardiology, and it should be good. Kalebs lost so much fluid in the past week alone its crazy. Im really hoping Nugent will cut the Lasix dramatically or entirely. Well see... Ortho is Wednesday, and the cast comes off and the pin must come out. Im already nervous, but I know Kaleb will be happier in the end. I have to tell you, the cast seriously stinks after 7 weeks...and that just cant be good with a pin sticking out of his arm in there. Again, well see. We had a great weekend. The weather was beautiful, so we planted flowers, hung out on a blanket in the front yard, and just loved on the boy. We are so blessed! Thanks for continuing to pray for, think about, and love our boy! One day, one hour, one minute at a time... Pics: 1. A new funny way to drink...and drinking is the new favorite way to prolong bedtime. Yay for totally normal kid issues! 2. Planting flowers with Mama. He loved digging with the spade, but would not hold the plant. I love it when he says no now. 3. Enjoying the last of the weekend in the yard with a favorite toy. The best kind of Vitamin D... 4. One of his favorite things is to roll his cars down this third of the roller coaster. He does it over and over every day. Tonights variation? Rolling Mr Potato-head parts down the ramp...wish I knew what he was thinking on this one!
