This week we are welcoming a few generations of Walkers, the owners of Lorella Springs Wilderness Park - and today finally Nance got to see the place named after her: Nannys Retreat. When they were kids at Lorella, Rhett and his siblings used to fight so much, their mum kept telling them that one day she would move to the Yiyintyi mountain range and leave them all behind. So when he finally discovered that magical place, Rhett decided to name it Nannys Retreat - a permanent water spring right in the Yiyintyi with rock formations like nowhere else on the property, caves full of butterflies and also some aboriginal paintings. This place was only opened a year ago and includes an 800-metre walk which will feel like 3 kilometres…. BUT every second guest that checks out of Lorella mentions Nannys Retreat as one of their highlight, so make sure you have it on your To Do list when you visit us!
