This weekend I was vending at 2 different places. Saturday was at a mini renfaire (which I figured thay day that was my demographic) and did amazingly well. Sunday was at a craft fair which was horrible border line a nightmare. People were saying prices were high (mind you saturday I had one complain of prices being high), not to my face... with the exception of one lady. She loved a pair of earrings made with niobium rings and ear wire as well as a sterling silver butterfly. She looked at the price (48$) and she said to my face wow, this isnt worth it. I can buy gold with $48. This threw me completely off guard because not only did she not appreciate the craftsmanship but she lacked tact. Sadly because I was thrown off and shocked.... when she criticized my stretch bracelets by saying once again it isnt worth it thats when I told her not for nothing but this isnt Macys or Claires... these are handmade items. Maybe they arent for you. My end decision, to never vend at an event where people just like to buy soap, second hand clothes, and jewelry made in China. If only lobotomy was legal.
