This weekend Tom and I have the privilege of serving as intercessors at Church of the Highlands LIFE conference. Satan clearly does not want us there, and has been on the attack all day. I woke up early this morning feeling like I was being smothered. I awoke with my heart pounding in fear due to the smothering, which was really just that my nose was stuffed up. I had trouble getting back to sleep as the adrenalin had kicked in, and then the non-bedroom dogs woke up and started barking earlier than normal so I couldnt sleep in at all. Next came a call from the repair shop that the part to repair the Jeep is back-ordered, so I needed to bring the rental car back until repairs could begin. Next came some angst from an individual. Then my left eye started burning, and kept on no matter what I did. I ran errands and came home and let the dogs out. Zsa Zsa got out of the yard by climbing a tree (sigh) and while I was looking for her, Omi got out. Found Omi, got ready for a Christmas party, and then couldnt find my Jeep key. Looked everywhere frantically, and found it at the last minute. Then, as I opened the door to the Jeep to put the casserole for the party in it, I dropped the casserole Id prepared. I had to stop at Kroger to buy something to take. Tom had different trials during his day, but they kept coming at him, too. Were home and about ready to go to bed. My eye is still very painful. Satan is still at work, but Praise God, so is He! For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord. (Romans 8:38-39) If youre of a mind to, please pray for Tom & I, and all who will participate in LIFE, this weekend. I cant wait to see what mighty things God has in store!
