This weekend my mom, Tina Moore, and sis-in-law, Jody Moore, are participating in a womens retreat for Kairos Outside. This is a Christian support program for women who have loved ones who are or have been in jail. Kairos is a prison ministry for incarcerated men, but some prison systems (for example, Arizona) do not allow them to do service inside the system. And the organization believes that the people on the outside often have just as hard or harder of struggle while someone they love is an inmate. So Kairos Outside was formed as a support system for loves ones as they work alongside their family members during their sentences and as they negotiate the world once theyve paid their debt to society. If you know a woman in this position who would benefit from such a program, they operate all over the world, so please share the program with her.
